Hours: 24 hrs / 7 days (window display)

Part of the Auckland Festival of Photography

Rebecca's work extends her current artistic research project in mapping physical and internal (asana and energy) movement through some fun long photographic exposure techniques. Capturing the practice of yoga and light painting, she explores transgressions from fragmentation through connectiveness. The artist is fusing her twenty year long relationship with photography, and her more recent, five-year relationship with yoga. Here they collide to foster conversation and as an exploration of our nature and energy landscape. Rebecca is a yogi with a practicing history in several countries, and Ashtanga / Vinyasa and Yin teaching qualifications and a visual artist who has undertaken projects including an artist residency (United States), and gallery and public art exhibitions: Nocturnal: Arts After Dark (Melbourne); Queensland Festival of Photography (Cairns); Artland as part of MoreArt (Melbourne), amongst others.
