Windscreen Washers Wellington
I am a Te Whanganui-a-Tara/Wellington, (Aotearoa/New Zealand) based photographer.
Whilst living in the UK for several months during 2019, I had a small exhibition wwashersw.nz, in a covered market in London. The title is an abbreviation of 'windscreen washers wellington'. I admire the people who raise a few dollars by undertaking this dangerous job in urban streets, and the angles and action match well with my love of street photography.
The London exhibition included a life-sized paste-up of another window washer "Jack" , and was accompanied by a free zine based on the photos, in addition to the two short series shown here. The zine and 2019 layout can be seen on my website.
