Open call for Photobooks
Announcing a PhotoForum Open Call for Photobooks:
PhotoForum welcomes photobook submissions from NZ-based photographers. PhotoForum #95 will be selected from these submissions and the likely publication date will be November 2021.
Books can be at different stages of development, as we also aim to connect designers with photographers. We recognize the importance of providing a platform for publication to photographers who may not have access to more traditional forms of book publication.
We are guided by the following criteria:
1. Do we love the book?
2. Is the proposed project cohesive and relatively resolved in its scope?
3. Is the project consistent with our vision to continue a strong legacy of significant photographic publications in Aotearoa?
We look forward to your photobook proposals. Please email your book pdf, a written summary of up to 300 words about your project and a short artist bio. to photoforumnz@gmail.com by 15 August 2021.
We need your help to continue providing a year-round programme of online reviews, interviews, portfolios, videos and listings that is free for everyone to access. We’d also like to dream bigger with the services we offer to photographers and the visual arts.
