In Antithesis, arid landscapes become a canvas for exploring contrast beyond the visual—delving into the deeper tensions that define existence. By stripping these scenes to their elemental forms and inverting their tonal reality, the familiar dissolves into abstraction, revealing an unseen world where light and shadow, presence and absence, coexist in delicate opposition. Through this transformation, Antithesis challenges perception, inviting the viewer to consider the dualities embedded in everyday life. It is a meditation on the interplay of extremes—the fragile balance between chaos and order, permanence and impermanence, reality and illusion. These stark, unyielding landscapes become symbols of a broader human experience, where meaning is shaped as much by contrast as by substance.
