Tides of Change investigates the ecological impact of invasive exotic seaweed on New Zealand's native marine environment. In collaboration with natural elements — seaweed, water from the Pacific Ocean, and sunlight — I engage in a destruction process that mirrors the themes of resilience, transformation, and decay. I forage seaweed and incorporate it into a process of decaying black-and-white Polaroids. This project stands as both a visual and conceptual reminder of the transient, evolving nature of our environment and the urgent need to address the impacts of climate change on biodiversity.
