The Personal Collection of John B Turner
Webb's is proud to announce that the personal collection of John B Turner (b. 1943) will soon be offered at auction. Photographer, writer, editor, publisher and educator, Turner profoundly shaped contemporary New Zealand photography. Lecturer at Elam School of Fine Arts from 1971 and co-founder of PhotoForum in 1973, he championed the work of others as tirelessly as his own.
The sale brings together photographs by Turner and by Ans Westra, William J Harding, Peter Peryer, Robin Morrison, John Daley, Bryony Dalefield, Mac Miller and others, alongside over 800 lots from his personal library.
